Travel Vaccinations

If you intend to book a trip abroad, it would be advisable to check the TravelhealthPro or fitfortravel websites to see what travel advice or precautions are given by Public Health England and the NHS.  Please enter or pick your travel destination for the latest advice.

If immunisations are required for your travel destination that you think you may have had previously, please leave a message with the receptionists and they will ask the nurse to check your record and confirm that your immunisations are still in date.

If immunisations are required for your travel destination that you have not had, or you are advised that they are out of date, our Practice nurse runs a travel clinic and this should be booked 6 weeks prior to travel. Please ask for a travel immunisation pack at Reception, and book an appointment with the practice nurse when you return this to us.

This initial consultation will include a discussion on which countries and areas you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.

It is important to make this first appointment as soon as possible – at least 6 weeks before you travel – as a second appointment may be necessary to receive the vaccinations.

Whilst some vaccinations will be available on the NHS, others may need to be ordered on a private prescription and will incur a private prescription charge. All travel advice and vaccinations are not part of our NHS services. Furthermore, only certain centres are registered as a Yellow Fever Centre and for this you may need to book elsewhere.

Please ask at Reception for more detailed charges.
