Appointments

From 7th April 2025 all non - urgent appointments can be booked using our online services 24 hours a day via Rapid Health or by clicking the link below. For safety reasons, urgent medical requests cannot be accepted via our online system. For something urgent, pick up the phone or walk in to our reception.

  • Our core contract hours are Monday – Friday, 8am– 630pm.
  • Please note at certain times, a clinician may not be available.
  • In any emergency, please dial 999 for an ambulance or attend the nearest – Accident & Emergency department.

The Enhanced Access service: Our GP funds additional appointments which are over the phone on weekdays (Monday – Friday) between 18.30 and 20.00 and face to face on Saturdays from 09.00 – 17.00. Face to face appointments will be located at either Red Roofs Surgery or Bulkington Road Surgery Nuneaton. Telephone appointments may be offered. These appointments are shared with other GP surgeries, so please use these first to avoid our funding being used by other patients.

For Nurse and Health Care Assistant appointments you will still need to contact the surgery.

If you are elderly, or you do not have internet access, or cannot use technology you can either call or visit the surgery and you will be triaged by the Reception staff. You will be asked a series of questions before an appointment is offered. However please anticipate that this may cause delays and increase waiting time over the phone. Please note we may need to call you back at a quieter time to discuss these questions.

To request an appointment (Monday to Friday):

  • use our appointment request form
  • if you cannot complete the form yourself, phone us on 024 7639 3388, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
  • visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm.
  • use our tablet at the surgery to complete your own appointment request.

When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.

We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.  Not all patients will need appointments and you may be directed elsewhere.

If your request for an appointment is deemed urgent and there are no appointments left, you will be expected to use another existing service (111 or A&E). We will be unable to offer an appointment on a future date for urgent medical needs.

Please note we are not an emergency service and at times we may have to signpost you to other services if there are no appointments available on the day. Other services include your local pharmacy, calling 111, or going to A&E in an emergency.

Your appointment

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:

  • by phone
  • face to face at the surgery
  • by text or email

Appointments by phone, by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.

We may ask you to send the practice a photo of the problem prior to your appointment to help the clinician to triage and treat you quickly.

If a photo is requested by the clinician, we will send you a link by text for you to take a picture and upload it to the link. Please note the images may be saved to your record.

Cancelling or changing an appointment

Home visits

If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.

To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice as soon after 8am as possible.

Medical students

All our GP’s have an interest in education and training and we host medical students from Warwick Medical School.

Our students are very dedicated and are working on a fast-track course, which means they have to work harder than other medical students during their training.

We host 2nd and 3rd year medical students. The Year 2 student doctors will always see patients with an experienced clinician in the room. The Year 3 student doctors will have their own lists of patients, but everyone they see, will also get reviewed by one of the clinicians. Please consider seeing the medical students when requested, so that we may train our doctors of tomorrow.
